The BEST Chinese
This website was designed by the patrons of Luckys. We have no vested interest other than getting the word out on how great the food is at this place!
The BEST Hostess
Luckys is family owned and operated. Although their carry out service is excellent, make sure that your first experience is a sit down excursion.
You will be waited on by Cindy, who will help you find just the right item on the menu to order!
Cindy makes every visit special. Here she is seen with Miriya, her favorite "bok-choy" fan!
On the rare event that Cindy is not there (probably out getting the fresh vegetables and ingredients), you will have the opportunity to be served by her cordial son Bobby

The following testimonials were written by individuals that are in no way related to Luckys aside from being smart enough to giving this great restaurant a try!
Adrian V :
I teach at a university downtown, and know that if you want to find your way around Rome, you ask a Roman.
I wanted to know where the most authentic Chinese food was in the Pittsburgh area, so I asked a Chinese graduate student!
He told me that the best place was a small restaurant in Wexford, and that is where the local Chinese people go.
HOWEVER, since I was interested in authentic cooking, he told me to make sure that I asked for the “special” menu!
I still remember that day when I went in. Cindy gave me the dinner menu, and when I told her that I was instructed to order from the “special” menu, a huge grin came across her face and she said “Ahhhhh, the SPECIAL menu”,
and she then gave me the Szechuan menu. Wow… I had just been inducted into a secret society of cuisine connoisseurs. I am now sending out an invite for YOU to join this secret society... just remember to ask for the "special" menu, and tell the hostess that "Adrian" sent you.

I had passed by Lucky’s for years and never really noticed it until a friend invited me there and introduced me to the “Authentic Chinese menu”.
Now I can’t stay away! Some of my favorite dishes include spicy noodles, green beans, Andrew’s shrimp, and Crispy shrimp with walnuts.
However, their fried dumplings and General Tso with “white meat” are out of this world too!
The food and the atmosphere are unmatched due to Cindy’s personalized and friendly service.
Once you try a few authentic dishes from the Chinese menu and you will find that you can never eat at another Chinese restaurant again!
Dena M :
To say the food is exceptional would not do Luckys justice.
A meal of hot noodles, Andrew’s shrimp, and spicy green beans is my idea of comfort food!
But that only tells half the story. The other half is that from the very first visit you make to Luckys, you are welcomed like a member of the family.
Try that on for size during your lunch hour on a rough day.
A warm smile from Cindy and a full stomach of Lucky fixings from Bob is really all it takes to turn a bad day to fantastic……
Jason H :
I love Lucky’s for three reasons.
(1) The food is the best I have ever had and coming from me that means something.
(2) Because Cindy and Bobby always treat you like you’re family.
(3) The presentation of the food. It looks like a picture every time.
Andrew A :
Lucky’s provides, quite simply, the best Chinese food in Western Pennsylvania.
A must stop for anyone who wants to experience authentic Chinese cuisine and give their taste buds a wake-up call!
Dana B :
As the parents of two very small children, my husband and I have few opportunities to enjoy a meal away from home.
When we do work up enough courage to take the family out, it is so nice to go to Lucky’s.
Cindy personally greets us at our table with her warm and inviting smile and often scoops away one of our little ones so that we can sit back and enjoy our deliciously prepared meal.
Miriya V :
#1 bok-choy and steamed dumpling fan.
Cassandra S :
Lucky has the best authentic Chinese food in the area.
Partner that with excellent service and it is not just a lunch break, it is an experience everytime.
Sherrie S :
Luckys is the BEST! I can never eat at other Chinese places ever again!
David B :
Adrian introduced me to the "special" menu, and I became a member of the secret Lucky society.
What Adrian is not telling you is there is an even deeper secret menu.
The standard menu is in English. The "special" Szechuan menu is in Chinese with English subtitles.
The "super secret" menu, which Adrian knows of but isn't telling you about, is written only in Chinese and is posted every so often on the wall somewhere in the dining area when the items are available.
I have gone where even Adrian dares not tread!
We are not talking about spicy, but instead exploring taste sensations that are unlike any other, but not for those who don't like traveling off the beaten path!
Erin V :
You know those little red peppers that come with Szechuan items? My husband and daughter give me theirs, and I LOVE them!
They are crispy and crunchy like popcorn, but are not simply "hot". They are spicy and yummy!
John K :
My friends at my company all made fun of me since I am the only one at the table that uses a fork instead of the chopsticks.
I told them that I know how to use them, but that Cindy’s food is so good that I want to use a fork in order to get the food to my mouth in the most efficient manner!
And yes, I do know how to use the chopsticks.
In fact, just ask Cindy who the best person is at using them, and she will most likely say that it is me!
